Common questions

How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed in a single day — typically 3–5 hours depending on the size of your garden and number of zones. Our team handles everything from sensor placement to app setup.

Does it work in apartments and on balconies?

Absolutely. Our Seedling plan is specifically designed for small-space growing including balconies, rooftop gardens, and indoor setups. Minimum space required is just 2m².

What happens if a sensor stops working?

All hardware is covered under our 2-year warranty. We'll replace faulty sensors within 48 hours — free of charge. The app will alert you immediately if any device goes offline.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. No lock-in contracts. You can cancel month-to-month with 30 days notice. Your hardware remains yours — you can continue using basic sensor readings without a subscription.

VegTech is an Australian company headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria. We operate the VegTech.io platform, mobile application, and IoT farm monitoring hardware. References to "VegTech", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to VegTech.

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, address), data generated by your farm sensors (soil moisture, temperature, humidity, pH, light levels), usage data from our platform and app, and payment information processed securely via our payment provider. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our services, generate AI crop recommendations, send you alerts and notifications, process payments, provide customer support, and comply with our legal obligations. Sensor data is used anonymously in aggregate to improve our AI models.

4. Data Storage & Security

All personal data is stored on servers located in Australia. We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit) and conduct regular security audits. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may request a copy of all data we hold about you, opt out of marketing communications, and request account deletion. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@vegtech.io.

By accessing or using the VegTech.io platform, mobile application, or hardware products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms govern your use of VegTech.io services and form a legally binding agreement.

2. Services

VegTech.io provides IoT-enabled smart farm monitoring, AI-powered crop management, automated irrigation control, and related software services. Services are provided on a subscription basis. Hardware is provided under separate hardware purchase or lease terms.

3. Subscriptions & Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are in AUD and include GST. You may cancel your subscription at any time with 30 days notice. No refunds are provided for partial months. Hardware remains the property of the customer upon purchase.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use VegTech services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer our software, share account credentials, or use our services in any way that damages, disrupts, or impairs the service for other users.

5. Limitation of Liability

VegTech.io provides AI recommendations as guidance only. We are not liable for crop loss, damage, or any consequential loss arising from use of our platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the preceding 3 months.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. These terms comply with the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
